Overview

The software support mission includes web support and the development and support of ATEC-owned applications and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct requirements gathering and programming software solutions as defined by the Government.
  • Support software development in all phases of the software life cycle using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach.
  • Utilize development processes approved by the Government.  The SDLC includes, but is not limited to, the following:  requirements gathering; architecture/system design; development, code review and implementation; comprehensive software testing to include vulnerability testing; deployment; and maintenance.
  • Provide system design for software development, cybersecurity, and software assurance using industry accepted best practices while researching and identifying new emerging capabilities and technology. The software development targets delivery of business applications, T&E applications, and instrumentation applications with some financial, personnel, and sensitive information capability. 
  • Performed both locally on individual development environments and within a protected development lab network.
  • Software developers are expected to work onsite.
  • Software developers will develop software using Government-approved software languages, including, but not limited to, the following:  .Net, Java, php, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, SQL, ColdFusion, etc. 
  • Software developers are expected to adhere to a well-defined SDLC process within the framework of a strict change management construct.
  • Shall fix or mitigate all software weaknesses identified.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree and 3 years’ experience; or Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year experience; or combination of 5 years which may include education/specialized training/certifications and/or experience.
  • Relevant education/experience must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g. Network Engineering, Network Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer/Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Forensics/Security, etc.).
  • DOD Computing Environment.

  • Active Secret security clearance is REQUIRED
