  • Overview

    The TSA Field Support Unit (FSU) requires the delivery of IT Security Support Services necessary to protect and maintain the availability, integrity and confidentiality of TSA's IT systems as it relates to physical security systems. The mission of the FSU will require additional direct support of IT to meet the requirements for both physical security systems integration from the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and the Information Assurance Help Desk support to provide physical security integration design for installation, maintenance, and repair to over 600 TSA facilities.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides phone, email, and in-person support to users in area which include e-mail, LAN/WAN, directories, standard desktop images and applications, COTS and GOTS applications. 
    • Serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting all IT related problems, including hardware/software, passwords, and printer problems. 
    • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
    • Performs work that requires practical experience and training.
    • Work is performed under supervision.

    Qualifications

    • An active Secret clearance or higher is required.
    • Must have 1-4 years experience troubleshooting technical issues and providing support to end users. 
    • Experience working for DHS is strongly preferred.
    • A+ or Security+ certification is highly desired.
    • The ideal candidate will have a career path in IT security
