The Technical Writer shall have the following skills/skillset: Write and edit a variety of technical articles interpreting and explaining various topics relative to publications issued by CD. Edits articles prepared by subject matter experts for use as training and/or informational materials. Make changes to improve coverage, presentations and readability and ensure that written material does not conflict with existing policies, procedures or information previously published. Blend accuracy with ease of understanding and clarity of expression. Ensure articles convey their initial intent and that the material is clear to audience. Work with Visual Information Specialist to ensure proper treatment of publications. This includes developing charts, graphs and sidebars, and discussing what visuals best represent the intent of the publications to the readers.
Preferred knowledge of FBI approved database management software. The contractor shall possess and professionally utilize extensive software, SharePoint and Internet research abilities, have excellent oral and written communication skills, exemplary interpersonal skills and have the ability to work both independently and as a group, have knowledge of differentprograms to design publications layout, charts, and graphs as necessary.
