  • Responsibilities

    • The candidate shall provide advanced strategic planning, strategic communications and technical writing support to include, but not limited to, engagement, industry monitoring, research, writing, designing, editing, proofreading, stakeholder coordination and records management in a highly visible, fast-paced, time-sensitive, and IT-driven environment.
    • The candidate shall lead Strategic Planning Communications Support for centralized communications services OCIO-wide, coordinating communications support functions performed by contractor and Government employees throughout OCIO.
    • The candidate shall lead ensuring all communication deliverables and functions comply with OCIO established guidelines and processes.
    • The candidate shall provide social media support, including but not limited to, implementing Daily Blogs, Twitter Tweets, Facebook Posts, LinkedIn Posts, internal and external feeds and posts to develop and maintain OCIO’s internal virtual presence, external virtual presence and DHS OCIO.gov presence.
    • The candidate shall develop a Strategic Plan Analysis Report analyzing the existing baseline and proposing strategic goals and objectives to achieve the respective vision.
    • The candidate shall assist with the development and implementation of the strategic plans and annual operational plans based on strategic goals established by OCIO management.
    • The candidate shall develop a Strategic Action Plan defining creative, industry standard, best practices to implement the strategic plan and operational objectives.
    • The candidate shall develop a Communication Strategy Plan to enhance workforce development and employee engagement.
    • The candidate shall coordinate incorporating strategic goals, priorities and operational objectives into Performance Work Plans (PWPs).
    • The candidate shall develop a Strategic Planning Scorecard tracking and reporting the progress executing OCIO strategic goals and operational objectives.

    The candidate shall develop, produce and distribute Weekly Status Reports, Monthly Status Reports, Quarterly Reports, Annual Reports and Ad Hoc Reports for OCIO senior.

    Qualifications

    • Education: BA/BS degree
    • Years of Experience: 12 years of professional experience, with 6 Years of specific communications experience and 2 years of IT Communications experience
    • Certifications: PMP Required
