Perform installations, configuration, administration, support, tracking, and maintenance and participate in the assessment, testing, and analysis of Linux-based complex and secure computer systems. Review design documentation, vendor self-assessments, network protocols, and software code for system vulnerabilities. Provide technical information system security testing in support of the appropriate security risk management processes using security assessment and technical testing efforts, including in-depth network or application vulnerability testing, such as automated and manual testing and demonstrable false positive validation. Develop documentation in support of testing efforts, including test plans, preliminary findings reports, security assessment reports, and other similar test artifacts for the government, as required. Maintain responsibility for supporting hardware and system engineering efforts and providing maintenance and sustainment for existing and new government systems. Assist with full life cycle support for critical systems in both operational and test environments. Provide engineering change input for government system upgrades and ongoing engineering efforts.

-5+ years of experience with system administration support
-3+ years of experience with Linux specific administration
-Experience with Linux based operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux /Centos Linux systems monitoring reviewing system logs, application logs, and security audits
-Experience with setting-up and maintaining physical and virtual UNIX or Linux machines in all environments and the application and maintenance of operating system or security patches to UNIX or Linux systems
-Experience with performing software validation analysis, defining, and documenting test plans and specifications required for regulatory compliance
-Experience with networking, including design, testing, development, and integration
-Experience in interacting with end users and providing customer support
-Ability to build, configure, and maintain servers in a laboratory or operational system
-Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices
-Experience with reviewing government guidance, including task orders, directives, STIGS, or IAVAs for applicability and implementation
-Secret with SSBI clearance required
-AA or BS degree (Experience can be substituted for educational requirements.)
-Security+ CE Certification
-Linux Certification with one or more of the following: RHCSA, RHCE, Linux+, LPIC, or Solaris

Mandatory Requirement: Candidate must be a US Citizen in order to obtain and maintain an interim and final security clearance.
