    TMR, Inc. seeks an experienced Visual Information Specialist to provide graphic design, visual communications planning and development, SharePoint administration, and content management support for a client in Washington, DC. 


    • Support technical management of content, quality, design and style of intranet SharePoint websites, to include planning, design development, testing, publication, and implementation of all content to ensure sites are functioning properly and reflect current, accurate, and appropriate information.
    • Independently produce graphic and write content for a variety of presentation materials containing original visual presentation using state-of-the-art computer imaging systems depicting broad, complex, and sensitive themes for executive -level and government audiences.
    • Creates, maintains, and proactively updates graphics and written content for SharePoint main, sub, and team sites to include modifying site permissions, managing lists and document libraries, and overseeing migrations of new SharePoint versions.
    • Independently research, conceptualize, and coordinate visual solutions, layout and designs for various formats of communication materials and directly interface with staff writers and graphic production personnel.
    • Plan and organize special projects for the Branch, often involving unusual designs and rigid time constraints.
    • Serve as a consultant and technical advisor in all areas of the desktop publishing and graphic art production. Consult with electronic publishing professionals to recommend sound solutions to challenges regarding layout and photography.
    • Consult with authors and editors and recommends modifications in those instances when visual enhancement is necessary for the subject matter to be fully comprehended by the intended audience.Use standards found in the U.S. Department of Justice Graphic Standards Manual, or those issued by the Joint Committee on Printing Standards, and other federal guidelines and policies.


    • Bachelor’s degree in design, fine arts, or other related field.
    • Minimum 4 years of experience producing graphic design and content writing for executive-level audiences.
    • Experience with SharePoint 2013 and technical management of internal sites, including site creation, web parts, lists, libraries, and calendars, managing user permissions, and modifying other content.
    • Experience receiving a written product and repackaging into a visual product.
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
    • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
    • Experience producing newsletters, presentations, and/or other communication products involving complex topics and graphics for all audiences-types.
    • Minimum Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
    • Graphics and/or writing samples required

    Preferred Experience and Technical Qualifications

    • Master's degree in design or a related field.
