  • Overview

    The technical editor will use a variety of word-processing software, mainly Microsoft Word, to edit proposal documents in support of Federal government contracts. The technical editor will ensure that the document’s grammar, content, and formatting are correct. The technical editor will review documents and provides comments to identify corrections.


    • Edit proposals for grammar, content, style, and readability.
    • Perform various levels of editing, from light copy editing to substantive content editing, skillfully and diplomatically working with internal clients (proposal teams, project managers, etc.) to clarify meaning and suggest revisions.
    • Expertly apply style and formatting guidelines to documents.
    • Produce hardcopy proposals and deliverables, as needed.
    • Maintain a record of all documents that are edited or reviewed.


    • Bachelor’s degree in English or journalism, or equivalent experience and training.
    • 3-5 years of experience in technical editing and writing.
    • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to support multiple projects.
    • United States citizenship required.
