Overview

TMR Inc. Is looking for a Candidate that can support our client located in the Fort Hood TX.This candidate must be a PC Technician with hands on experience.

Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Applies technical knowledge and training to solve routine and complex problems in the maintenance of digital computers, configuration and peripheral components.
  • Performs Tier I and Tier 2 deskside incident resolution of workstations, printers and peripheral devices.
  • Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware including printers and software testing tools and techniques.
  • Ensure proper computer system setup/operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks.
  • Receive, prioritize, document, and actively resolve end user help requests
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and help desk request tracking tools, as well as remote and in-person, hands-on help at the desktop level
  • Under direct supervision, assists with network hardware, servers and software installation, troubleshooting and support.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Assists with Asset management and Inventory of IT assets.
  • Assists with security vulnerability remediation
  • Typical actions are:

    • Isolating equipment/system/software malfunctions
    • Returning failed equipment to good working order and demonstrating the equipment to the user
    • Works as a team member in the installation, configuration, repair, and maintenance of computer equipment, peripherals, and applications
    • Performs repairs and conducts operational checks, and preventive maintenance service on computer systems, related systems, and office equipment.
    • Replaces defective parts and assemblies.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to travel and must have own reliable transportation
  • Associate’s Degree and 1 year experience; or combination of 3 years which may include education/specialized training/certifications and/or experience.
  • Two-three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of digital computer equipment/systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows 10 configuration required
  • Must be able to work under the supervision of senior technicians.
  • Must have full body mobility, be able to lift at least 50 pounds and must have own transportation.
  • Networking experience desired but not required. Application support experience with Microsoft office, Outlook, Web browsers, Anti-virus and software configuration.  
  • DOD Computing Environment, Security+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II), A+/Network+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT I).

MUST HOLD MINIMUM SECRET CLEARANCE
