TMR is looking for a candidate who can support operations and maintenance of Windows Server platform hardware, operating systems and associated core services including Exchange email, file, and print servers. Responsible for supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows environment, from design through implementation and support. Performs a wide variety of installation, configuration and upgrading of workstations, servers and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and stand-alone environment. The work includes investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure.


  • Complete configuration, installation and support of equipment in a Microsoft Windows environment to the specifications of client proposals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer and telephony related issues when contacted by clients by providing both on-site and remote support.
  • Maintaining software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance.
  • Responding to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Performs complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end.
  • Develop complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup and redundancy problems.
  • Prepares and maintains a range of documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects.
  • Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology.
  • Help guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Communicate with other program personnel.
  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.


  • This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. This is a Lead position. Experience should include at least 10 years designing, implementing and supporting the following core Microsoft technologies:  Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, WSUS, DNS and DHCP.
  • Knowledge of VMware, Citrix, or SharePoint, SQL server, and Cumulative Update installations is desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving, planning and teamwork skills are required.  Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal. Additional key competencies include attention to detail, technical literacy, and perseverance.
  • Must be US Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
