Overview

The objective is to augment the DLA Information Operations personnel with the required skills to provide system administration for DLA storage and backup infrastructure. The Contractor  administer and provide support for storage and backup hardware and software to ensure effective daily operations, provide resources to perform duties and functions in the management and administration of the DLA storage and backup infrastructure (SIPRNET/NIPRNET). This support will be performed from the following locations:  Dayton, OH; Columbus, OH; Tracy, CA; and Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff.
  • Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise and operational business lines; develop and maintain a roadmap / transition plan for DLA to migrate from the as-is architecture to the target / desired end state for DLA Enterprise storage and backup architecture.
  • Advises on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data recovery, and data architecture.
  • Advises of feasibility of potential future projects to management.

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of overall professional experience with architecting Enterprise storage/backup systems.
  • Must have at least eight (8) years of experience working with DLA IT systems
  • Secret Clearance
  • IAT Level II one (1) of the following: CCNA Security, Security+ CE, CND, CYSA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP
  • Computing Environment or Certifications:
    • Dell EMC Information Storage and Management (DECA-ISM),
    • Hitachi Vantara Qualified Professional – Storage Administration,
    • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA),
    • SNIA Storage Networking Certification Program (SNCP),
    • EMC Data Domain Specialist
